The Mantis
A high-detail 3D model of Empusa pennata. Built to capture the beauty of the mantis working from a monocular alone.
View projectI am from Kodagu. Growing up close to the forest left me permanently curious about the life around me, and photography became the way I explored it.
Photographing macro life raised a question I could not answer with a lens: could I model and animate these small creatures, and show them from a perspective a camera cannot reach? That question became 3D modelling and animation.
Machines and electronics had always pulled at me in the same way. Learning them let me bring the two halves together — building electronic tools for wildlife monitoring and research.
